I have always used google as one of my search engines. I learned a thing or two about modified searches long ago, and I feel that knowledge works well in Google. I knew by looking at the Google home page that there was much more to "Googling" than just searching, but I just felt safe limited to searching. I knew that if I went exploring, I would get trapped into a habit and glued to this computer. Things 6 and 7 are tearing me away from my family. (not really)
I have created a special homepage for myself using iGoogle, I played around with the Google notebook (what a great research tool). Combine that with Google scholar, and searches seem smarter. Then I played with the Google calendar. If I stick with this addiction to online applications it will almost feel as if I have a personal assistant, and then how could I have pity parties about being overwhelmed with all I have to do???Maybe I can schedule those in just for fun.

FYI: we won't be able to see your i-google page because we don't sign in as you.
That is...when I click on your address, I see my i-google page because I am signed in as me!
but there are bunches of cool things to put on one, aren't there?!
Oh. Well I loved adding the tabs. I put a teaching tab on my iGoogle that has cool links to teacher stuff.
I love my iGoogle page too! This is another thing to play with and add stuff to when I should be doing something else! I like the idea of adding a teacher tab! Fnally, about the pity parties...once school starts again, I am sure you will have reason to throw one for yourself, even with Google as your personal assistant! I love my own personal pity parties and don't think I could get along without them!
